Dear 2022 Sunset International Entrant:
Congratulations are in order! Your wine was awarded a medal in the prestigious Sunset International Wine Competition.
To have a wine receive a medal here is no small achievement. Our competition one of the most respected, recognized for consistently identifying the best wines produced internationally. This contest again drew top-level wines, and our hand-picked, top-quality judges determined which wines stood out as worthy of accolades. To receive a medal in a competition of this caliber truly showcases the level of wines you produce.
This year’s competition saw a field of more than 2,900 entries. Only wines rating 90+ points were awarded Gold medals, making them eligible to move on to the “Best Of” Category. If your wine was rated Double Gold, that means it scored 95 points or higher and means all the judges on its panel unanimously deemed it Gold-worthy! If your wine was a Best of Class and made it to the Sweepstakes Round, this means all present judges were able to taste it in the final voting round for Best of Show categories.
Best of the Best, Wapato Point Cellar, Cabernet Franc, 2018
